I always recommend sending your phone videos through a website like WeTransfer , where you can send uncompressed files, to your PC. This reduces compression when sending between devices.

Customized Code Rate
This is the biggest advantage PC has over Mobile and if you apply these it will make the biggest difference.
- Set to Variable Bitrate
- 40k-50k Kbps when 1080p
- 60k-100k Kbps if footage is in 4k.

Codec
H.264 vs HVEC
- H.264 is more widely supported by most programs and softwares but unfortunately does increase the file size but will render quicker without losing any quality.
- H.265 is less widely used but has a plus of being smaller in file size so use this if you are shorter on storage. The downside of having a smaller file means it will take longer to render.
Conclusion
Use H.264 for more compatibility and quicker render times.

Resolution & Framerate
To see and change these settings you must hit export in the top right and a pop up will appear.
- For specifically uploading to Instagram or TikTok export at 4k/60 fps for a more smooth and high quality look.
- If you want a more cinematic and move like feel because you post more cinematic content than go with 4k/30 fps so motion blur can help make everything look more natural.

π
Format
- MP4 - If you plan to move your files in between devices or other softwareβs stick to MP4 because it is by far the most compatible.
- MOV - These files are much larger in size but do offer the best looking quality videos because they provide less compression. This is compatible with social media.

Resolution & Frame Rate
If you shoot your videos not in 4k than first you are missing out, but also do not export in 4k because it will ruin your video quality. Export in your native resolution.
- For specifically uploading to Instagram or TikTok export at 4k/60 fps for the most crisp high quality videos
- If you want a more cinematic and move like feel because you post more cinematic content than go with 4k/30 fps so motion blur can help make everything look more natural.

Code rate (Mbps) & HDR
- Slide the code rate all the way to the right so that it is on High this will make sure you phone is pushing the most amount of data to make sure your video is the highest quality.
- HDR (High Dynamic Range)- is basically just making your colors look deeper and more vibrant. I keep mine off because it leaves a more natural feel but this choice is up to you.
